4th great-grandfather · the headline finding of v3.63. Father of Ferencz Grósz (Zvi Naftali, the Grósz patriarch in Jákó/Nyíregyháza) and Májer Grósz. Husband of Sára Mihaly. Born in Apagy in 1823 — which means the Grósz family's roots in the village predate Bobby's 1928 birth there by at least a century. Bobby was not born in a random Szabolcs village; she was born in the ancestral seat her family had occupied for generations. The 1928 settlement of Lipot Weisz and Regina Feldman in Apagy — the move that produced Bobby — was effectively a return to the older Grósz ground, even if the immediate Weisz and Feldman branches had reached it from different directions (Lipot from Nyírbogát, Regina from Jákó). Source: family knowledge corroborated by Ancestry tree records and Hungarian census records (added v3.63 by Eli Feig). Death year, place of burial, and parents not yet documented. Information welcome.
The Apagy root of the Grósz family. His son Ferencz Grósz married Háni Berger; their daughters Amália Miriam and Roza became the Grósz hinge marrying into the Feldman and Weisz families respectively. Through this couple's deeper Apagy origin, Bobby's 1924 birth in Apagy was a return to ancestral ground, not a coincidence of marriage. Source: Chapter 6.
