Háni Berger

m. Ferencz Grósz · the Grósz matriarch

3rd great-grandmother · mother of the six Grósz siblings · died 1894 in Jákó · her surname carries forward through Roza Grósz Weisz's death record (where Háni is recorded as Roza's mother) and confirms the Berger lineage

The Grósz matriarch. Háni and her husband Ferencz Grósz raised the children whose marriages and emigrations defined the next two generations of this family — including the Grósz-sisters double marriage (Amália Miriam to the Feldmans of Jákó, Roza to the Weisz Kohanim of Nyírbogát) that turned the Grósz family into the genealogical hinge of the entire family. Her son Simon was the first member of the family to reach America (Selma, Alabama, 1905). Source: Chapter 6.
