Added v3.61 from his daughter Devorah's matzeiva inscription. Father-in-law of Yitzchok Yosef Klein HaKohen (the Mád Yeshiva Rebbi). A Kohen — marked on Devorah's stone with the כ״ץ designation (Kohen Tzedek). His surname is not on the stone; Katz is the priestly designation, not a family name. The stone reads that he "died/rests in the Holy Land" (אשר מ[ת/נח] בארץ הקדושה) — suggesting he made aliyah in old age and was buried in Eretz Yisrael, which would place him in a small but real cohort of mid-19th-century Hungarian Jews who did so. The exact verb is partly weathered on the stone, so this remains an open question until corroborated. Birth year, death year, surname, and parents not yet documented.
